It is right in the heart of everything and yes, there is street noise - but also music and just great sounds of the city. The windows, when closed are virtually soundproof! Practically, it was beyond expectations, with two huge bedrooms, great living and closet space, good lighting, a full size washer AND dryer, a nice kitchen (although we did not eat in) and very comfortable beds and linens. The bathrooms were great - master bath with two sinks and lots of space, plus a second bath with shower and yet a third half bath! So charming. Michelangelo met us and was helpful with our specific questions. I had noted previous reviews that mentioned there is no soap, shampoo etc for guests, which was fine with us and I believe part of the guidelines for hosts. But other apartments do provide these so please keep in mind if you are lucky enough to book. (There is a Pharmacie next door should you require any special items). The windows were amazing to cancel out the sound from the city, and the bedroom air conditioners work very well to cool the rooms down for the night.

The wifi was a little spotty, and low water pressure were the only negatives. But neither of these distracted from our stay.

I would definitely recommend the apartment and would stay again when we visit Florence.
