It is right in the heart of everything and yes, there is street noise - but also music and just great sounds of the city. The windows, when closed are virtually soundproof! Practically, it was beyond expectations, with two huge bedrooms, great living and closet space, good lighting, a full size washer AND dryer, a nice kitchen (although we did not eat in) and very comfortable beds and linens. The bathrooms were great - master bath with two sinks and lots of space, plus a second bath with shower and yet a third half bath! So charming. Michelangelo met us and was helpful with our specific questions. I had noted previous reviews that mentioned there is no soap, shampoo etc for guests, which was fine with us and I believe part of the guidelines for hosts. But other apartments do provide these so please keep in mind if you are lucky enough to book. (There is a Pharmacie next door should you require any special items). We loved this apartment and hope to be back again. Grazie Mille, Michelangelo!

  Perfect location to see everything in Florence. Spacious and spare with 2 1/2 bathrooms and a washer/dryer that were very useful. Michelangelo was very responsive to any... read more issues we had (lost hot water one morning and his gracious father and a workman showed up that afternoon to fix the problem.) The area is a bit noisy but the double paned windows and shutters block out most of the noise at night. Be aware that though there is a lift to the apartment, you will still need to walk up 20+ steps to get to it. We would definitely stay there again.

Kitchen not equipped for preparing full meals, adequate for breakfast and snacks.
The apartment was clean and comfortable. Instructions for entering apartment were texted to us the day of arrival and Michelangelo met us at apartment to orient us. (Hint for travelers from USA, bring shampoo, bath soap and washcloth.)

We... read more were 3 ladies traveling so the 2 and a half bathrooms came in handy. The bedrooms were spacious and everyone was impeccably clean and in good shape. The elevator starts only from the first floor so dragging some suitcases up that flight of steps was a bit daunting but in all truth we had been forewarned so not an issue. Overall, highly recommended!
