It is right in the heart of everything and yes, there is street noise - but also music and just great sounds of the city. The windows, when closed are virtually soundproof! Practically, it was beyond expectations, with two huge bedrooms, great living and closet space, good lighting, a full size washer AND dryer, a nice kitchen (although we did not eat in) and very comfortable beds and linens. The bathrooms were great - master bath with two sinks and lots of space, plus a second bath with shower and yet a third half bath! So charming. Michelangelo met us and was helpful with our specific questions. I had noted previous reviews that mentioned there is no soap, shampoo etc for guests, which was fine with us and I believe part of the guidelines for hosts. But other apartments do provide these so please keep in mind if you are lucky enough to book. (There is a Pharmacie next door should you require any special items). Every night... read more we woken up by loud yelling at 2-3am from people on the streets. The market starts set up at 6-7am. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you!

Kitchen has the basics but no wine bottle opener which seemed very odd for Italy.

Bedroom with bathroom has very comfortable bed while front bedroom has an old wore down futon like bed that is very hard and needs to be updated.

  Excellent location, easy communication with host. The apartment is a bit dark and musty but has great views down onto the markets and streets below.
